We Haz Important Announcement!!! Seriously, Read ASAP!!

We asked you for some special prayers and positive thoughts, and they must have worked, because we would like to introduce you to Newby!!! (Yes, that really has been his name since he was born.)

The very first picture Mrs. Jessica sent to us.
Here is a little bit of background.  Newby was owned by a nice older couple and a puppy brother named Sam, but both his human parents had to go into a nursing home.  So the daughter (grrrrr) who is not a dog person (grrrr) decided he and his brother had to go.  Sam, the puppy brother, found a forever home, but they only would take one dog.  So Newby since then, has been placed in several homes, but (shhhhh) he has a little (very little) pee problem which makes him tinkle when he gets scared or nervous.  (ssshhhh, don't tell anyone, it's embarrassing for him).

So since they had trouble finding someone who was patient enough to deal with this 'little problem' the daughter (grrrr) brought him to the vet (who has cared for him forever) and wanted them PUT TO SLEEP.  (GRRRRRRrrrrr).  But his vet, and the whole vet practice, said "Oh Heck No!", made her sign him over to them, and since then have been checking him over to make sure he had no problems which would cause him to (sssshhhhhhhh) accidently tinkle.  After the Village Animal Hospital figured out that he didn't have any medical issues, they started looking for a forever home.

AND WE GOT PICKED!!!!  Apparently since he is all kinds of gorgeous, he was very sought after, but we were picked out of all of the others. :)  It was meant to be!!!

Here we are during our getting to know you time... :)
We brought the whole family, two and four legged, to the vet's office for a little get together, you know, to make sure everyone was ok with everyone.  And Newbs fit in PERFECT.  I mean, seriously... no growls, no pushing, even the sniffing and stuff was kept to a minimum.  It was like we had all lived together forever.

Car ride on the way home.  (Yup all three fit in the basket!!)
Checking out the yard... leaving some pee-mail.

Headfirst into the garden!!

Little confab near the onions and taters just to see if everything is A-OK.
Mrs. Jessica said he was fast, and boy, he is!!!  But Dixie and Doh kept up with him pretty well!

You should see the stuff Newbs brought with him!  Seriously.  he has a crap load of bedding, treats (Milo and Dixie notice that right off) and toys.  This was one WELL taken care of dog.  They are, while I'm typing, depositing the toys all over the house. Yay!!  Gotta make it truly a doxie home!!

Now of all the things that happened today... there was a sads... when we were leaving, he didn't want to leave Mrs. Jessica.  He had bonded with her big time...  But we're gonna go back on Friday for visit with the vet and a final check over.... you know, just to make sure.

So there you have it! Our BIG announcement.  I have to say THANK YOU to Village Animal Hospital for being such a great clinic.  Newbs is SO healthy, which only comes from good pet ownership and good vets... and they did what was right.. they didn't put him to sleep, but worked with him and us to find him a forever home.
He is fitting in REALLY well :)
We are kinda like Puddles and her blobs, we are a 3 Doxie family!!! :)

OMD- that is what happened to Thai AND Anna rose! Thai's mama died and her b**** daughter did not want him so he went to DRNA and then to Miss Mrcia for two years and now us for the last 2.5! Anna Rose's parents dropped her off at the vet and walked away- so the vet calls us, thinking we liked dachshunds! (have no idea where she got that idea- we were only owned by four at the time)

Welcome Newby!

Welcome Home Newby! We are sooo excited that you found such a wonderful and loving home where it appears you are fitting right into nicely. You are a handsome little fellow {giggle} and we are totally smitten with you. I know it is going to take a little bit to get acquainted to your new surrounds, your new family, etc. but give it a day or two and you'll be as good as gold! (I think your little tinkle problem will go away once you settle down. Sometimes change is hard. We know Muffin went thru that stage too.) We are so thankful that your precious owners took such good care of you. I'm sure they think of you every day with very loving thoughts and I'm sure you do the same. But know they loved you and did what was best for you. God has chosen for you this new path in your life. He too knows you will be just fine!! We can't wait to hear and see more about you.

Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin

What fabulous, fantabulous news! I'm so thankful that the vet didn't listen to that stupid lady. Some dogs just get too excited and do a little tinkle (shhhh).

Newby is one handsome dude and I'm so happy he's part of your forever family.

Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
