Simpatico: Dateline: Lexington

Just the life and times of a silly girl, her dachshunds and all things Southern!

Dateline: Lexington

You might not want to look at the picture down at the bottom of the post... just saying.
Basically, because our mom loves the movies... (nah that's not it, she is just a klutz.) Our mom decided to recreate the Texas Chainsaw Massacre by bashing her face into a chainsaw.
Ok, so mom was trimming back a limb of a tree which fell late last fall.  We had been working a good part of the afternoon because all this glorious Kentucky weather just tears up all the trees we have on our property. One of the big projects was this tree which fell into the creek.  So she had been working on getting the limbs small enough to haul away when she decided to try her hand at a big one going across the creek. She scooted over to the very edge of her creek and started sawing away. Only problem is when the limb gave way during her cut she fell into the creek and right into the chainsaw.
Don't worry... The chainsaw had stopped, but she still caught those jagged edges with her face. It also tore up her favorite WVU t-shirt, which was rather upsetting to her, too. Actually I'm thinking she is more upset about the shirt than get face. (Go Mountaineers!!!!)
She has a pretty little gash on her chin which her nurse friend says is going to need someone to stitch her up and will probably leave a really nice scar.  Mom also needs a tetanus shot cause of the nasty creek water. But mom didn't go yesterday cause she hates ERs. Actually mom hates doctors all around, but ER doctors most of all.  :)
We figure our Mom was too pretty anyway..a little scar will add some character to her face.. and most importantly she has a great story to tell... you know something like Puddles might do.

OMD your mom used a CHAINSAW on her face??? THAT is really scary. Imagine what kind of damage she would have done to herself IF it had been RUNNING at the time???
The trees don't stand a chance against her. hehehe

Owwwwwwww. That looks painful, but what a RELIEF when you think about how bad it could've been.

OMD not the WVU shirt!!!! Make sure next time you decide to take a chain saw to your face and shirt that you are wearing a crappy shirt you don't care about. I hope you can get a replacement shirt soon. Oh yeah I hope you get to a doctor and take care of your self soon too. Let's go Mountaineers!!!
