I think Jim Cantore and the Weather Channel need to take a little vacation. But ultimately, I'd rather be prepared than surprised like last year's derecho!

YES For SURE it is better that we had Days of notice this time instead of the 3 hours last year... and WAY better that the derecho had WEAKENED before it got to US. THIS year we didn't even lose our powers at all... and OUR WIND part only lasted 10 mins. instead of the 15 mins. last year... But the best is that NO ONE was KILLED this time. Last year there were 5 deaths.
WE are so glad that you are SAFE.
We are VERY thankful that it wasn't worse and that you are all safe and sound.
Now I can lay my head down and dream of MY Newby!
