Poor Reed and I were involved in some heavy duty cleaning yesterday as I was blindsided so happy to be advised that we have a family member coming to visit this coming weekend. (insert wobbly smile)
You see I've been busy getting ready to go on vacation with Reed to Florida starting 10/11.. and we will be gone almost 2 full weeks. (insert happy dance) In fact, on our return trip North to Kentucky we are going to visit with Miss Puddles! (insert a case of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and a wobbly walk.)
We are going to be in Orlando with family, Fort Lauderdale with family and Tampa to enjoy Busch Gardens with Reed for his first time. Only thing we are going to be missing is Miss Lily Belle and family who will be in route to Florida not more than a couple weeks after we are there!!
So, needless to say, my house was a bit of a wreck. Summer decorations were still out, things not put away - just stacked up awaiting a home, and the outside needing some attention. So after I found out about the pending visit, I slept the night and got up early yesterday for an all day adventure in cleaning. Reed reluctantly helped... but he has learned to just go with the flow when it comes to me and cleaning as it's better than the torturous sighs and looks (from me).
The poor dogs... OMD. It was not a good day. In fact (please don't read this paragraph Miss Lily Belle as Newby would be embarrassed for you to know) when I was vacuuming Newbs got so scared he let lose a turd in the bedroom and then another on the couch. (Mom is thanking the makers of our dog food for providing such really nice turds instead of something that isn't easy to clean up.)
I literally vacuumed him the poop out of him!!!
So after a nice night's sleep I'm ready to get up to get started
again.... except I have Mr. Loose Bowels looking absolutely
adorbs, his head lying on my knee, trying his best to keep me in bed.
He was absolutely dead to the world asleep when I disengaged my knee from his wee little noggin and grabbed a cup of hot tea.
In fact, he is still asleep... probably working up another one for my next vacuuming adventure today >_<
Just Five More Minutes... check that.. Just Five More Hours!!

Poor fella!
We have cleaning frenzies here too. Seems the humans like it clean. Who'd have thought?

Confusus say: Guests like fish, very stinky after 3 days!
That guy Confusus is a very smart man!
Of course having a good Mommy here, she always reads the all the posts before she let's me read them just in case there is something inappro for me to read. She said that I was NOT allowed to read parts of this one today. Butt for some reason, Mommy is laughing her bootie off this morning. Believe me, she really needed a good laugh today too. She just keeps saying 'poor Newby, poor Newby..." Mommy said that Newby is OK and that there is nothing wrong, so I shouldn't concern myself with "his little issue." So I have to trust Mom on that one!
We're in the house cleaning mode around here too. Butt only because we're shuffling off in a month for the winter. There is so much for Mommy to do and she hates it! Butt you had to clean because you've got fish coming. Then you gets to go on a nice vacation to where I live and unfortunately I won't be there quite yet ~ SHUCKS!!
You sure Newby's OK? I really worry about my love bug!
Anyways, we're gonna really miss you when you leave and of course we're really gonna miss Newby too. I just don't know how I will do without him for sooooo long!
Hugs,
Lily Belle
Mom has been going through a cleaning fit here in Louisville, too!! Last weekend she pulled out all of our Halloween decorations & went through some of the closets to "throw stuff away"... which was fine by me cause it meant some fun stuff to dig through & sniff. :) She says that with the rain coming this weekend, there will be more cleaning & organizing, I say more things for me to steal & hide...

Cleaning noises are not one of our most favorite things!
It's a shame I can't come help you. I'm a BIG help to Momma when she cleans. I help smooth out all the sheets when she's making the bed, and I bark lots of encouragement to Vacula, and I help bite the broom when she's sweeping. Momma says she doesn't know how she'd do it without me!
OMD OMD... NEWBY.... YOUR MOM SUCKED a TURD outta You??? THAT is totally SCARY... I have always KNOWN to be VERY VERY afraid of VACULA.. and NOW I know WHY!
WHAT??>???..Your mom and brother are gonna visit the REAL Puddles???? THAT is just WONDERFUL. TOTALLY wonderful.. BUTT without the three of YOU???? THAT is sooooooooooo wrong!!!
Sammer hates the sound of the vaccum and often tries to bite its head off! I told him to leave it alone cos it is called a "shark" and it might take a very big bite out of him!!
Stella Rose
That must be one powerful vacuum!
Nubbin wiggles,

Good luck with all the preperations. We too are in cleaning mode which means I hide. Anything for a bit of shut eye. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
Snooze button? Mine must be on my belly, every time it gets rubs I falls asleep!

Reuben
