Anytime there is any food being consumed by anyone this is what they have to deal with... the begging, pleading, bright eyes of dachshunds. They do not beg, much, unless we are eating in another place besides the kitchen or patio table. Chocolate eclair in bed while watching Top Gear proved to be too much for three little sausagey bodies to stand.... so cue the pleading eyes!!!
Just one bite, please!! |

Then I will has to find out their secret in hows they accomplish gettin' in da bed...sumptin' we ain't allowed to do. Obviously my mum doesn't knows dis whole house belongs to US and not her. Maybe I should let her keeps thinkin' dat to makes her feels good.

Puddles
Six little eyes all watching your every move, hoping for that little morsel of a crumb to fall in their direction, ready to pounce at a moments notice. You guys got it down pat!

A big dog has many disadvantages in life, like, you can't be sneaky cause your so big they see you comin. Bath time takes forever cause there is so much of you to bathe. People are always complainging when you run towards them for a bit of lovin and don't quite stop in time. You know, those kinda things.
But one advantage we do have is because we are so big, we can reach up on the cupboard, when the humans back is turned and grab our own treats. Or, I have been known to walk by a table and take a few licks out of everyones glasses. So while I might sound like life is rough for us big guys on a scale of one to ten, we have better odds of surviving cause we can reach higher than you.
Oh yeah and we don't depend on our cute little eyes to convicne someone we need a treat, we just take it.......
Oh my word how in the world can you refuse 3 pair of Darling Doxie Eyes. That is silent begging and probably very effective.
Precious picture.

Looks like they have the begging eyes down pat!
But how could you not give in? They're just way too adorable!
So hard to resist!

I could give you a leg up? hehe! Deccy x
You are doing well, my little ones - despite what my Two Legged Ones tell me ALL THE TIME about the pleading eyes and the adorable expression (if I say so myself) not being 'good manners' (I have no idea what that term means), I am a HUGE advocate of the pleading when there is two legged food around!!!
Woof.
